Our red wine Señorio de Bocos "Roble", of the vintage 2007, has been awarded the Silver Medal at the 10th International Wine Award "Mundus Vini" held in Neustadt (Germany) on March 5, 2008.
The Great International Wine Award Mundus Vini was founded in 2001 by the wine academy MUNDUS vini, a subsidiary of the Editorial Meininger Verlag, Neustadt an der Weinstraße and has since held every year. With more than 6,000 wines submitted to the competition from all regions of the world, Mundus Vini is one of the largest international wine competitions and at the same time the only German contest of international importance.
The samples supplied are analyzed by an international jury consisting of renowned and experienced specialists tasters from around the world.
The assessment is made according to 100 point system and is based on samples of smell and taste, as well as individual awarding points according to the guidelines of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) and the International Union of winemakers (UIOE)
It is a mathematical scheme that provides for the allocation of weighted scores for the criteria "aspect", "bouquet", "taste" and "harmony / general impression".
The awards are granted after the joint decision of the jury. Note that the composition of the jury presents a ratio of 4 : 3 tasters between international and German.
