Bacchus International Awards 2012 - Silver Medal - Señorio de Bocos 'Crianza'

Our red wine Señorio de Bocos "Crianza", from the 2008 vintage, it has won the SILVER BACCHUS award in the contest held in Madrid from 16 to 20 March 2012.

Organized by the Spanish Tasters Union, the International Wine Competition Bacchus has consolidated its ten editions and quality as the most important event of those held in Spain.

Bacchus is the only international wine competition in Spain which now belongs to VINOFED, the federation that brings together the most renowned competitions worldwide. To this is added the fact must be recognized by the entity in the world of wine, the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV). Two prestigious organizations that come to shape the Bacchus effort to become a benchmark for rigor and independence.

Three Masters of Wine, the British John Salvi and Sarah Jane Evans by the Spanish representative in this renowned institution, Pedro Ballesteros, have led the squad sensory judges necessary when assessing in strict blind tasting wines all participants in Bacchus 2012. Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2009 - Silver Medal - Señorio de Bocos 'Crianza'

Our red wine Señorio de Bocos "Crianza", from the vintage 2006, has been awarded the Silver Medal at the famous Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, held this year 2009 in Valencia (España) this year 25 and 27 April. In this edition they have taken part 6,289 wines and spirits from 48 countries.

The Great World Wine Competition

Created in 1994, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles has emerged as the range of wine 'World Championships', with more than 8,000 samples of wines tasted in 2015 produced worldwide. Overall, these samples represent more than 600 million bottles sold.

Composed only of professionals, the jury of the Concours Mondial every year gathers the largest number of international wine experts and vineyard.

Premios Zarcillo 2009 - Silver Medal - Señorio de Bocos 'Crianza'

Our red wine Señorio de Bocos "Crianza", from the 2007 vintage has won the Zarcillo Silver award in the fourteenth edition of the international competition organized by the Agricultural Technological Institute of Castilla and Leon in 2009.

Zarcillo Awards The biannual event is sponsored by the International Wine Office (OIV) and the International Union of Winemakers (UIOE) and it is integrated into the World Federation of Major International Wine and Spirits Competition.

The contest is open to all wine-producing countries of the world. The concept of wine taken into account is the definition adopted by the OIV.

In this edition of the Zarcillo Awards, experts have had to sample a total of 3,099 wines provided by 787 national and international wineries, as indicated by the organization at the time, a significant increased participation expected. In the edition of 2007 2.189 samples were received, bringing the increase is set at no less than 43.5%, more than I expected the organization to overcome estimated 2,500 wine samples. The organization has taken care to detail the handling and preservation of samples received have been considerably exceeded in number and place of origin to the previous edition.

The various juries, have been integrated for a total of 72 tasters, half from outside Spain, which since March 30 until April 2, 2009 met at the Provincial Wine Museum of Valladolid, located in the castle of Penafiel (Valladolid).

Tempranillos al Mundo 2008 - Silver Medal - 'Autor de Bocos'

Our red wine Autor de Bocos, from the vintage 2006, has won the Silver Medal Award on the Tempranillo al Mundo Contest, held in Paris from 3 to 6 June 2008.

The Spanish Federation of Winemakers, in collaboration with the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX), sponsored by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) and the official recognition of the Ministry of Environment, Rural and Environment Marino organizes the "International Itinerant Wine Competition Tempranillos the World" to show the oenological quality of Tempranillo and their synonyms (See Synonymy), make it known to consumers and distributors, introduce foreign audiences typologies the most characteristic of this variety and reward the efforts of winemaking companies and oenologists for improving the quality of their products wines.

The priority objectives of the Spanish Federation of Winemakers with the convening of the World Tempranillos 2008 are as follows:

- Increase the production and processing of high quality wines based on Tempranillo, demonstrating the important value of natural, cultural and human factors conjugated with respect to the environment.

- Introduce in international trade and foreign consumers between the richness of Tempranillo wine in the world, and particularly the quality of the winning wines, ensuring that they are properly disseminated.

- Enable the presence of Spanish wine in the world by promoting the variety most recognized in our country.

- To contribute to spreading the culture of wine and reasonable consumption of this drink with heart-healthy qualities.

International Wine Challenge 2008 - Silver Medal - 'Autor de Bocos'

Our red wine Autor de Bocos, from the vintage 2006, has been awarded a Silver Medal by the judges at the International Wine Challenge 2008 held in London during the first two weeks of May 2008.

The International Wine Challenge (IWC) is an annual wine competition takes place for two weeks.

There are several rounds of blind tasting: groups of eight to twelve wines of the same style are tasted and qualify for tables of 4 or 5 judges, assessing their fidelity to the variety, region and vintage.

The process involves more than 400 judges.

Each wine is assessed regardless of price.

Qualified with more than 84 points over 100 wines pass to the second round, which are tested again and medals are awarded in each style of wine to the winners.

The competition results are published on the website of International Wine Challenge in May, as well as the bi-weekly magazine Harpers Wine & Spirit Trade Review.

Concours Mondial de Bruselas 2008 - Silver Medal - 'Autor de Bocos'

Our red wine Autor de Bocos, of the vintage 2006, won the Silver Medal at the famous Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, held in 2008 in Bordeaux (France) between 18 and 20 April.

The Great World Wine Competition

Created in 1994, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles has set itself up as the range of the 'World Championships' wine with more than 6,000 products worldwide competition. Whole, these samples represent 450 million marketed bottles.

Composed only of professionals, the jury of the Concours Mondial every year gathers the largest number of international wine experts and vineyard.

About 40 nationalities are represented, a diversity that contributes to the unique character of the event.

Mundus Vini 2008 - Silver Medal - Señorio de Bocos 'Roble'

Our red wine Señorio de Bocos "Roble", of the vintage 2007, has been awarded the Silver Medal at the 10th International Wine Award "Mundus Vini" held in Neustadt (Germany) on March 5, 2008.

The Great International Wine Award Mundus Vini was founded in 2001 by the wine academy MUNDUS vini, a subsidiary of the Editorial Meininger Verlag, Neustadt an der Weinstraße and has since held every year. With more than 6,000 wines submitted to the competition from all regions of the world, Mundus Vini is one of the largest international wine competitions and at the same time the only German contest of international importance.

The samples supplied are analyzed by an international jury consisting of renowned and experienced specialists tasters from around the world.

The assessment is made according to 100 point system and is based on samples of smell and taste, as well as individual awarding points according to the guidelines of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) and the International Union of winemakers (UIOE)

It is a mathematical scheme that provides for the allocation of weighted scores for the criteria "aspect", "bouquet", "taste" and "harmony / general impression".

The awards are granted after the joint decision of the jury. Note that the composition of the jury presents a ratio of 4 : 3 tasters between international and German.
